Hello friends!
There’s nothing quite like a bathroom remodel to breathe new life into a home. In this latest project, we took a dark, dated bathroom and gave it a much-needed refresh. Think bright, stylish, and just modern enough to feel current without trying too hard. Take a look at the before and after photos to see how a few carefully chosen finishes, a neutral color palette, and classic-meets-modern fixtures can make all the difference.
The Vision: Bright, Simple, and Timeless
Our client wanted a bathroom that felt more open, inviting, and up-to-date. The original space was functional but lacked personality and modern styling. With a neutral palette and a mix of wood, metal, and stone textures, we created a bathroom that feels both fresh and timeless, proving that small updates can make a big impact.
Before:

Key Elements of the Remodel
The Vanity:
We chose this 42″ Vanity from Home Depot to add a bit of warmth to the space. Its light-toned, weathered wood finish gives the bathroom a softer more modern look, while the shape and lines are a nod to the traditional style. Paired with a white engineered stone top, it brightens up the area around the sink and complements the rest of the room’s color palette.
The Sink Faucet:
The Sink Faucet we selected is a sleek black fixture that adds contrast to the vanity and helps tie in the other black accents throughout the bathroom. The matte finish keeps everything modern and reduces fingerprints in a busy bathroom.
The Mirror:
We added this Wall Mirror for a simple yet elegant touch. Its black frame blends with the other black details, creating a cohesive look that feels intentional. This large mirror also reflects light, helping the bathroom feel more spacious.
The Sconces:
Lighting is crucial in any bathroom, and we opted for these Wall Sconces flanking the vanity mirror in a two-toned finish. These sconces bring a bit of character to the room with their unique design and give off a soft, warm glow.
The Shower Faucet:
For the shower, we chose this Shower Faucet from Delta. Its matte black finish creates a cohesive look that’s sleek and modern.
Classic Gray Wall Paint:
To create a bright and neutral backdrop, we painted the walls in Benjamin Moore’s Classic Gray OC-23. This soft gray is subtle, versatile, and works beautifully with the warm wood tones of the vanity and the black accents. It’s the perfect neutral for a bathroom, adding lightness without feeling too stark.
Accessories – Towel Bar, Towel Ring, and Toilet Paper Holder:
We completed the look with matching accessories from Pottery Barn’s Pearson collection, including the Towel Bar, Towel Ring, and Toilet Paper Holder. These tumbled brass pieces add to the traditional look we wanted to make sure shown through all the modern finishes.
Before & After: A Complete Transformation
The original bathroom felt cramped and outdated, with an abundance of warm wood tones and busy patterns. By updating the color palette to soft neutrals and focusing on clean, streamlined fixtures, we were able to create a space that feels more open, calm, and functional.
The final result is a bathroom that combines modern simplicity with timeless appeal. It’s a design that will stay stunning for years to come, balancing aesthetic charm with practical upgrades.
