Hey friends!
I’ve got the inside scoop on our recent empty basement-to-bathroom transformation.
So, picture this: these clients had this basement, right? It was the kind of a space they avoided being in because, well, it was more for storage than anything else. All concrete and coldness. They decided it was high time to turn it into the primary suite of their dreams.

When I initially met with these clients, there was a few things they knew they wanted. These being a stand-alone bathtub, oversized vanity with makeup counter, and clean, modern lines. Below are some of the inspiration photos they sent me.
I noted they had a preference for flat-panel cabinets, light to medium wood tones, and bright white rooms with black accents.
Now, let me take you on a journey through the different elements we used that turned this forgotten space into a modern retreat.

The Design
First up, the black standalone bathtub. It’s not just a tub; it’s a statement piece. Perfect for those long days when you just need a little “me” time.

We paired this stunning tub with wall mounted chrome fixtures and a fun tile accent wall. I love how this tile adds movement and texture without overwhelming the clean, modern lines of the space.

And let’s talk about the flooring. It’s not just your regular run-of-the-mill floor; it’s large profile faux stone that makes you feel the luxury. Step on it, and you’ll swear you’re at a spa.

The shower, oh, the shower! This one is the perfect mix of simple and stunning. White vertical tiles set the stage, and the custom, black-framed glass door. Complete with standard shower head, rain head, and handheld. Private spa vibes, right from your own home. And we finished this shower off with niche storage, and the ever-handy toe nook to help with shaving.

But let’s not forget the real star of the show—the oversized custom walnut vanity and linen cabinet. It’s not just about storage; it’s about making a statement. Classy, practical, and the perfect home for all our bath goodies. Finished this bespoke vanity off with white quartz tops, undermount sinks, and matte black hardware. We even included a makeup counter for the full spa treatment.

The Finishing Touch
And now, the basement blues are gone, replaced by a bathroom that feels like a fancy hotel suite, minus the check-out time. It’s the kind of space that makes you go, “Wow, did we really do this?”
All of this stunning work was completed by our teams over at Heritage Haus Designs by Heritage Builders.
